Speaking has followed the work. Early talks covered photography, documentary practice, adventure travel, the art world, and nonlinear careers — at venues including the Getty Center Los Angeles, the International Center for Photography, Social Media Week, and the Brooklyn Food Conference.
From 2016 onward the focus shifted to digital literacy, refugee education, and a new model of skills training for displaced youth.
The animating question now is around artificial intelligence and human development — specifically whether the acceleration of AI is a rupture or a correction for who we are, what it does to the conditions that make learning, meaning making, and love possible. The perspective comes from thirty years of working inside questions about how we construct identity, belonging, and agency — in food markets, refugee classrooms, and dating culture alike.
